Provided below is a list of rules that further govern Tarncamp and what is expected of you, the visiting stranger. We do not give 'chances'; deviations from these rules will result in loss of status in Tarncamp no matter what title or position you hold in Gorean society outside of our Camp. You are about to be in the company of a different type of people. To them, honor and respect is everything. So don't think to expect respect to be given if you have no intention of giving it.
GENERAL RULES: Most of these are standard and should be understood easily by everyone.
1.) Out of character conversations, otherwise known as (OOC) are prohibited unless there is an emergency that has to be announced. Otherwise, use the Private Whisper (PM) option that is conveniently located on the drop down menu for pull-downs (PD). Another great option is messengers. If you have to be told more than once to cease (OOC) then you have exhausted your time in Tarncamp and will be removed due to public disturbance.
2.) Drama. It's just about everywhere and in everyone, except in Tarncamp. Leave that behind you and at the door. This is a Role Play room, not a chat center or an online personal rehabilitation site to get help with your issues. He said, she said nonsense/gossip is not tolerated, especially if it was generated in messengers or on the public POD forums. If that is brought into the room you will be booted/banned.
3.) Whether you want to call this an advanced, serious, or multi dynamic role play room, the bottom line is that Tarncamp is for the mature adult and we take our characters and setting development seriously. If you can't manage to bring yourself to respect that, it's ok. No one is saying you have to role play here, just quietly leave and find something else more suitable to you. Tarncamp is not the ideal place for those who are new to Gor. We don't house, protect, or stand at your side while your fate is determined or while you are waiting for someone to collar you. We take our roles seriously and expect those who would enter would do the same.
4.) Complex role play story lines will be frequent within. Those genuinely interested in learning the ways of the Pani may venture in, but you'll be at your own risk.
5.) No quarter is given to the observer type or the anonymous lurker. You are not allowed or welcome here and will be removed immediately. Please enter with a proper name. If you've read this rule, then this is your warning. No more will be given to you in the room before the we boot.
6.) This is a Kill / collar / capture / raiding zone.
7.) The Prodigy combat system is the only system that is accepted here and will be used by anyone who is involved in combat within Tarncamp. It will be posted to our forums and judged on our forums by an elected member of the Camp.
8.) Messages, Gorean in nature, will be relayed in character by a messenger, appropriately and distinctively marked with the yellow slash. If the message has nothing to do with Gorean role play then don't bother coming in.
9.) Before you enter please understand that these rules are in place for a reason, that reason NOT being for you to break them. It is strongly suggested that you understand the information provided to you on the front entry page as well as here.
